Now with wear pattern detection, soon also with tyre inflation pressure measurement.
3-D measurement of tyre condition – for greater tyre safety in road traffic
If something is wrong with the chassis, the tyres are the first to know it - in the true sense of the word. With the ProContour H3-D causa you discover misadjusted wheel alignments or chassis misalignments using the tyre wear patterns as soon as customers drive onto your company site, and hopefully before something worse happens.
That's because now you can already show your customer when turning over the vehicle where their car is off track - a far more efficient process than informing the customer later by phone. However, the corresponding information not only ensures you the thanks of your customer, as you protect them from further unnecessary tyre wear and other damage.
It also increases the capacity utilisation of your wheel alignment station and promotes sales with service and workshop services, as well as parts and tyre sales.
Another weak point the tyre condition analysis up until now lies in the tyre inflation pressure measurement: Every third passenger car in Germany is on the road with insufficient tyre inflation pressure (source: Tyre Safety Initiative).
However, according to studies of tyre manufacturers, a reduced pressure of just 0.4 bar can reduce the service life of a tyre by up to 30 % - with possible serious consequences, from longer braking distances and spongy vehicle handling to tyre blowouts. By the way, 97 % of all tyre blowouts are caused by creeping tyre inflation pressure loss!
ProContour H3-D causa will help avoid that in future. It automatically measures the tyre inflation pressure of motor vehicles driving over it, and therefore makes a financial contribution to customer orientation and process optimisation. The good old manometer has outlived its usefulness, the tyre inflation pressure measurement process is optimised and the measuring results are assigned to the vehicle data record. The fuel consumption is reduced and the CO2 emissions harmful to the environment are minimised by approximately 38 kg per passenger car annually.
