Manometers - make short work of them: correct tyre inflation pressure with automated measurement – reduced fuel consumption and a relaxed atmosphere.

Every third passenger car in Germany is on the road with insufficient tyre inflation pressure (source: Tyre Safety Initiative). However, according to studies of tyre manufacturers, a reduced pressure of just 0.4 bar can reduce the service life of a tyre by up to 30 % – with possible serious consequences, from longer braking distances and spongy vehicle handling to tyre blowouts*. By the way, 97 % of all tyre blowouts are caused by creeping tire inflation pressure loss!

ProContour H3-D causa helps avoid that. It automatically measures the tyre inflation pressure of motor vehicles driving over it, and therefore makes a financial contribution to customer orientation and process optimisation. The good old manometer has outlived its usefulness, the tyre inflation pressure measurement process is optimised and the measuring results are assigned to the vehicle data record.

The fuel consumption is reduced and the CO2 emissions harmful to the environment are minimised by approximately 38 kg per passenger car annually. With approximately 33 % of the passenger cars on the road in Germany with an incorrect tyre inflation pressure, that equals over 608,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions, which would be avoidable with regular tyre inflation pressure measurement and adjustment.
