“Road safety politics would be without Organisations not possible”

Many political interests demand the direct influence of the citizens.

Mobility of the society is an important prerequisite for Advancement, Growth and Employment. For this reason, road traffic policy stands the challenge to make mobilty safe, enviromental friendly and socially fair as much as possible. A task, of which without non-parlamentary representatives with common interest organised in Car Drivers Organisations, will not be solvable. And a challenge, that all of us meet, together with and in closing of ranks with the non-industrial geared Organisations responsible….

ADAC: 15 million members; interest representatives for the extension of road infrastructure and technical solutions by road safety problems with possibly little restrictions for the vehicle driver. www.adac.de

AvD: Germany Automobile club, 1.5 million members; proactive education and sensitize activities, for example annually “Road Safety Day”. www.avd.de

ACE: Car club Europe, originally trade/labour union club, since 1995 open for non-members of the DGB (trade union Germany), around 600.000 members, clear safety commitments in the road policy guidelines. More Information under www.ace-online.de

VCD: Road Club Germany formed by environmental protectors in 1986 to counter balance ADAC and AvD. Their simple credo says: Making ourselves strong for environment-friendly, socially acceptable, safe and wholesome mobility. www.vcd.org
